Toros Put Soles to the Test

LNBP post season fixture Mexicali is getting all they can handle from the upstart Toros of Nuevo Laredo. Yesterday the Toros stole game two at home winning 66-64 to even the series at 1 game each.  The series resumes this Tuesday and Wednesday in Mexicali where the Soles  will try to close out the series by winning games 3 and 4. Hector Hernandez paced the Soles with 22 points while Henry Dugat led the Toros with 18. (Photo from solesdemexicali.com)

Catamount center Marqus Blakley #23 blocks the lay up attempt by Great Danes forward Blake Metcalf #12 during the first half of the Vermont Catamounts 64-46 win over the Albany Great Danes at Patrick Gym on Saturday afternoon January 30, 2010 in Burlington, Vermont.  Blakley was called for the foul on the play and would eventually foul out of the game. © 2010 Brian Jenkins
