The Estrellas will represent the LNBP this year in Mexico City.
La Ola Roja was a staple LNBP team representing Mexico's Capital until last year when the team folded just before the start of last season.
An official announcement from team president Armando Baraldi stating the La Ola would not participate in the 2007 campaign did not come until September 5th, one day before the 2007 LNBP season was officially supposed to commence.

Harold Arceneaux was enfuegohoops.com last night dropping 23 for Quilmes in Argentina's Liga Nacional.
Harold Arceneaux, who has had his fare share of big scoring nights in Mexico's LNBP, dropped 23 for his squad, Quilmes, in a 79-72 win over Atenas.
The victory gives Quilmes a 2-1 series lead in the opening round of Argentina's Liga Nacional playoffs. If Quilmes wins tomorrow night, Arceneaux and the 'cerveceros' will advance to the quarterfinals...

Fresh off an his LNBP Championship run with the Halcones of Xalapa, versatile 5 man Victor Avila left Mexico to play for Atleticos de San German in Puerto Rico.
Avila joined the team this past Friday and played in his first game yesterday, notching a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards in a 92-84 win over Mayaguez.
Avila's arrival was delayed due to Xalapa's championship run (he was contracted in January) but the big man with a smooth shooting touch says he's happy to be joining 'one of the best in Puerto Rico' continuing that he hopes to 'win a title with them.'
Atleticos claims the most titles, 14, out of all of Puerto Rico's first division teams and with this recent addition are surely eyeing a 15th.
