"Obviously we want to stay humble, but at the same time we have to know that we can do it," forward Kevin Love said. "We know regardless of what people are saying, that we still are the favorites and we should play and...

En Fuego Hoops All Star-Omar Waller

Omar Waller in Mexico City-2009
Omar Waller was in San Diego at the 2007 En Fuego Hoops Showcase and was disappointed he didn't land a contract with a team in LNBP. He made the top 20 playing in the All Star Game but wasn't what teams were looking for at the time.
That was then. He's since broken in to the LNBP putting up good numbers with the Estrellas (they've since folded) last year and is moving on to another opportunity in South America.
"Hardwork and faith" are what pushed Omar to keep his hoops dreams alive and though he's heading South to Paraguay and then on to Argentina, he'll return to his second home in the off season where he's starting a family in Nogales, Mexico.
We wish Omar Great success and only hope that he can find a Paraguayan equivalent to 'al pastor' tacos. Check back for updates on Omar's progress in South America. Suerte Omar!
