Zach LaVine is averaging 19.3 ppg in the playoffs for the Bulls.
Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has entered the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols, the team announced Tuesday.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, LaVine is expected to miss Wednesday’s Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks (7:30 ET, TNT) as the Bulls attempt to climb from a 3-1 series deficit. Bulls coach Billy Donovan said LaVine will not travel with the team to Milwaukee on Tuesday and will continue to test for COVID leading up to tomorrow’s game.

Overall, LaVine has now been in the protocols three times since last April. He was last in the protocols earlier this season in early December, but cleared them around Christmas time. He was also in protocols last summer when he was working out with USA Basketball in preparation for the Olympics.
This season, LaVine averaged 24.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 47.6% overall and 38.9% on 3-pointers. In the playoffs vs. the Bucks, he’s averaging 19.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 6.0 apg while shooting 42.9% overall and 37.5% on 3-pointers.
