Brogdon, 29, played the last three seasons in Indiana after spending the first three seasons of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. The veteran joins the reigning Eastern Conference champions with three years left on his current deal.
A former Kia Rookie of the Year, Brogdon averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.1 rebounds with Indiana last season, though injuries limited him to 36 games. He will likely help Boston in terms of playmaking as the Celtics were in the middle of the pack in most assist categories last season.
Theis is a valuable rebounder and low-post defender who averaged 8.2 ppg and 4.9 rpg while proving to be a useful rotation player for Boston during the 2022 playoffs. Nesmith, a second-year forward, saw his role shrink somewhat in Boston last season and averaged 3.8 ppg and 1.7 rpg after posting 4.7 ppg and 2.8 rpg in 2020-21. Stauskas, Fitts and Morgan were all used sparingly by Boston last season.
