
Round 2 play in the Asian and Americas region took place on Monday as 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers action continued.
Monday’s slate featured performances from NBA notables Jordan Clarkson (Philippines) as well as Buddy Hield and Kai Jones.

Philippines 84, Saudi Arabia 46

Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson filled up the stat sheet with 23 points, five rebounds and six assists in Philippines’ blowout victory over Saudi Arabia in Manila. This wraps up Round 2 action for the Philippines until the next window of play tips off on Nov. 10.
Venezuela vs. Dominican Republic
Pacers forward Chris Duarte contributed 20 points, but his team fell short 76-72 against Venezuela. The Dominican Republic will return to action on Nov. 10 against Argentina.
Panama vs. Canada
Canada put an exclamation point on their undefeated run in Round 2 with a 106-50 win over Panama. Pistons center Kelly Olynyk recorded 18 points, six rebounds and five assists. Canada will face Venezuela on November 10.
Argentina vs. Bahamas
Pacers’ guard Buddy Hield had 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists while Hornets’ center Kai Jones added 16 points and six rebounds. The Bahamas was unable to grab the win against Argentina, falling 95-77. They will get another chance on Nov. 10 in a matchup versus Panama.

Colombia vs. USA
The USA is looking forward to qualifying for the 2023 World Cup after a win against Colombia 95-77 to close out Round 2. The team will play Brazil on Nov. 11.
