Heat guard Tyler Herro available for Game 7 against Celtics

Tyler Herro will return to action in Game 7.

The 2021-22 NBA Kia Sixth Man will play in Game 7 (8:30 ET, ESPN) of the Eastern Conference finals.

Miami coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters before the game that Tuyler Herro, who had missed three straight playoff games with a strained groin, had passed the requisite tests with the team’s training staff.

“It’s all hands on deck,” Spoelstra said.

Miami has sorely missed Herro’s shooting ability at times, often relying on Jimmy Butler to turn in historic performances to score enough points in order to stretch this series to a seventh and final game. The former 13th overall pick is averaging 13.5 points this postseason, including 18 points against the Celtics in Game 1.

The winner of Game 7 will go on to face Golden State in the 2022 Finals.
