Report: Nuggets trade JaMychal Green to Thunder for No. 30 pick

Veteran forward JaMychal Green reportedly is headed to Oklahoma City in a pre-Draft trade.

The Denver Nuggets have agreed to acquire the No. 30 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft in a reported deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Thunder reportedly will add veteran forward JaMychal Green in the trade.

Thunder reportedly receive:

JaMychal Green
2027 first-round pick

Nuggets reportedly receive:

No. 30 pick
Two future second-round picks

Green averaged 6.4 points and 4.2 rebounds over 67 games with Denver during the 2021-22 season. According to Wojnarowski, the 31-year-old forward is expected to opt into his $8.2-million contract for next season with Oklahoma City.

Green is expected to exercise his $8.2M contract for 2022-2023. Deal gives Nuggets flexibility to use a $6.4M tax mid-level exception or an $8.2M trade exception in offseason. Nuggets expect to be a tax-paying team. Thunder have $31M in cap space to absorb Green salary.

The deal would give Denver two picks — 21 and 30 — in next week’s NBA Draft, while Oklahoma City would hold three picks — 2, 12 and 34.
