LeBron James, coming off his fourth season in L.A., plans to spend at least three more with the Lakers.
Tack another two years on for LeBron James and the Lakers. Multiple reports have the star forward signing a two-year, $97.1 million maximum extension to his current two-year deal.
The contract reportedly includes a player option for the 2024-25 season, matching that of teammate Anthony Davis, and a 15% trade kicker. It would bring James’s potential guaranteed career earnings north of $500 million, edging Kevin Durant of the Nets for the largest sum in NBA history.
